Request clinical waste collection
If you have needles at home they need to be disposed of safely. For Wandsworth and Merton residents, the Council organises collection from your home. They do not collect them from us so we are unable to take in any needles or sharps bins. If you require a sharps bin we can organise that on a prescription for you to be collected from your local pharmacy. Please contact us by filling out an admin request form and we will process that in line with our prescribing policy. Admin request form: https://florey.accurx.com/p/H85057
Clinical waste includes:
- used syringes and needles
- dressings
- surgical waste
For a detailed description and more guidance please visit Healthcare Waste (GOV.UK website).
