Dietary Advice A healthy diet is important to help reduce the
risk of heart attacks, strokes, circulation problems and diabetes. This should
include five portions of fruit or vegetables a day, and plenty of fibre e.g.
wholemeal bread, wholegrain cereals (rice and pasta) and a low content of animal
fat. Foods high in animal fats are butter, margarine, cream, cheese and red
meat, and these should be used in moderation. |
